History Blog Contributing Writers:
The history blog will feature writers with experience in a variety of historical subject matter. At present, we have six contributing history blog writers, the biographies of whom will be posted shortly. If you are interested in becoming a featured or guest blog writer, please submit writing samples to us at blog@AuroraHistoryBoutique.com.

Daniel is the owner and founder of The Aurora History Boutique and the Administrator of the History Blog. His interest in history began at a young age with his immersion in foreign cultures while living abroad as a Foreign Service dependent. Daniel then studied International Affairs and Spanish with a concentration in History during his college years. He continues to enjoy learning about the relationships between world cultures and the impact that their histories have had on each other.

Ms. G. Gabbo is an Art Historian with academic credentials in Anthropology and Art. She currently resides in Manhattan where she teaches Art History at an undergraduate college. Invariably, she is a tireless researcher of history and history’s artifacts. Ms. G. Gabbo has served as The Aurora History Boutique’s Museum Curator and Art Historian since the company’s inception in 2004 and contributes Fashion History articles on a regular basis.

About the History Blog:
Using the events from this day in history as an inspiration, we hope to provide a general insight into the past, while drawing connections to current events and trends. In addition, the History Blog will offer History Store specials and sales when relevant and will serve as a ‘public history address system’ should readers wish to submit upcoming historical events of interest.

Over the course of the next several months, our History Blog will feature writers who will investigate a range of historical themes and topics. We hope to publish between three and five articles a week in order to keep our readers engaged. In addition, we welcome those who wish to contribute their knowledge on a particular subject area to blog as guest writers:

World History: Beginning with the Ancient World, we will trace how humans evolved from hunter gatherer groups and farming communities to the most advanced industrial societies of the modern world.

Fashion History: We will identify the historical fashion trends that dominated civilizations from the past to the present in this exciting series.

History Today: An interesting back-story exists for every current event that dominates the headlines. This insightful series will explore the key personalities and events that have defined the current state of events in the world today.

Personalities in History: The story of mankind, history is full of personalities whose ideas shaped historical events that transformed entire civilizations for better or for worse. This series will highlight those significant personalities in history.

Significant Historical Events: If people with their ideas and decisions guide a society, it is the historical events that ultimately determine which of those ideas and decisions define and become part of the collective memory of a generation or even a civilization.
